Grand Designs Season 9 - DVD Review

Grand Designs Season 9 - DVD Review

Rating: PG
Released by Roadshow Home Entertainment

He's back - ever so slightly smug and ever so slightly scoffing, Kevin McCloud returns in a somewhat shorter run than normal of the phenomenally popular series about home renovations, builds and architectural feats of amazingness against the odds.

There are only seven episodes in this series - but they're as diverse as anything; from an engine house being renovated in Cornwall to the fight with the neighbours over a plan to build a home with a nightclub underneath it in its basement in London, the scope is as wide as ever.

And as ever, many face apparently unsurmountable odds as time, weather and the money draws in - but in terms of TV making, you know exactly what's coming and how it will resolve itself.

Fans of the show as ever will lap these seven eps up and thanks to Kevin's charm and the slick way it's all put together it's a fairly inspirationally pleasant way to spend a few hours.
